Nixie Maestro Kit With IN-12 Tubes

A great kit! My first electronic kit build in a couple of decades, took around 2 hours but this was teaching my son to solder and I would imagine an experienced person could polish this kit off in an hour. Finished clock is amazing .. building nixie clocks could become quite a passion!...

This kit was almost trivial to build - only about 20 thru-hole components on the board. All the other components were SMT devices pre-soldered. It went together in about 90 minutes. The case is quite attractive. I found the clock firmware settings easy to set, affording a great deal of customizability to the appearance and function. Finally, the GPS receiver option, besides being inexpensive, seems to be quite sensitive - acquiring lock within 2 minutes indoors under a concrete tile roof. It wasn't necessary for me to mount it near a window. I'm very pleased with the kit in terms of value, function and its cool appearance....
